Stunning Colorado Sunset

Growing up I remember seeing crazy rolling clouds dramatically marching across the sky in movies, frequently involving some supernatural (e.g. Poltergeist) or otherworldly (e.g. Close Encounters of the Third Kind) phenomena. I chalked that up to artistic license. In Florida the clouds are uniform puffy cumulus relatively close to the ground. When I moved to Colorado I discovered that such cinematic cloudscapes really do exist. The high altitude and proximity of the mountains provide the ingredients for beautiful and dramatic skies. Last night I managed to get home in time to snap these pictures just before the sun set ending an hour-long display of wild colors and cloud forms.
