Josh, Anne-Marie, and Aylia Colwell’s Gazette

And there was much rejoicing. The campus is littered with chalk exclamations of joy: “Obama!”, “My President is Black!”, “Change we can believe in”, and - of course - “YES WE CAN”

Indeed we can. And we are.

There are people filming for PBS on Oxy campus, doing a piece on our President Elect, interviewing people and exploring the dorm hall where he used to live, and every other person is wearing an Obama shirt. I also happen to know that Mr and Mrs Colwell are out late celebrating every night since the staggering results were announced at 8 pm Pacific time, 11 pm Eastern time.

Our country has hope once again.

Maman est arrivee en Floride pour son anniversaire qui a ete fete plusieurs fois. Je crois que toute l’annee 2008 va celebrer son anniversaire! Ses vacances se sont bien passees. Vrai, il y a eu une petite chute, mais rien de grave, que de la peau ecorchee. Le reste semble lui avoir plu. Tout est un peu trop grand et ostentatoire pour elle ici, mais la faune et la flore l’ont ravie.
Ces quelques photos devraient temoigner assez fidelement de son plaisir et du notre.

Entre les lamantins, les alligators, les tortues, les dauphins, les oiseaux, les fleurs et tous ces arbres plus ou moins gigantesques, je crois que Maman s’est fait de bons souvenirs.

Thanks to the folks at our server (eboundhost.com), we are now running the latest version of WordPress. That allows us to use a “plugin” that makes it so we can have the following cool effect with our pictures. Click on this one and check it out. I’m still working on how to make it so we can just have a bunch of thumbnail images instead of these full-size ones.
